1. Paid survey sites are scams - no, a lot of them aren't. The one I signed up for listed hundreds of sites I could join.
2. Paid Survey Companies need Experienced Survey Takers - I had no previous experience at all.All they ask is for honest answers.
3. Paid Surveys are a Waste of Time - They can get a little boring, especially the longer ones, but they are not a waste of time.
4. Paid Surveys Pay Little - some do, some don't, some don't even pay cash; depends on the company. Most pay around £1.00 to £2.00 for a 15 minute survey, which works out at about £4.00 to £8.00 per hour. Some pay more per hour than my job!
5. Paid Surveys Rarely Pay Cash - Most pay cash, or allow points to be redeemed for cash. Even if they offer prize draws it may sometimes be worth doing. I won $50.00 once!
6. Paid Surveys Require Lots of Effort and Time -No,just the amount of time and effort it requires to sit down and do a 15 minute suvey
7. Paid Survey Companies Contact Only Select Few - not really true. When you join a company you are usually asked to fill out a profile. The company contacts you based on that profile and you can then do the survey. Just make sure that you do fill these out otherwise as I have found out, you don't get any invitations.
8. Paid Surveys Are Not a Serious Career - very true, but the extra money does help!
